Mutsviri Game Lodge is owned and run by Tendayi and Abigail and is a product of Africa Premier Safaris, registered with the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why, and what rights you have over it.
Information we collect
When you use the "Plan your stay" enquiry form on this website, we collect the information you enter — typically your name, email address, and the message or dates you provide. We use this only to respond to your enquiry and plan your stay.
If you contact us via WhatsApp, that conversation is handled through WhatsApp's own platform. WhatsApp (Meta) processes that data under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review separately.
We do not currently use Google Analytics, Google Tag, or any other analytics or advertising tracking on this website. If we introduce Google Tag or similar analytics tools in the future, we will update this policy beforehand to describe what is collected (for example, pages visited and general usage patterns) and, where required by law, ask for your consent via a cookie banner.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and plan a possible stay at Mutsviri Game Lodge
- To coordinate transfers, activities, and the Chobe / Botswana day trip as part of your confirmed itinerary
- To communicate with you before, during, and after your stay
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share only the details necessary to fulfil your itinerary with trusted local partners directly involved in your stay — for example transfer drivers, or activity partners such as Chikopokopo Helicopters where you have booked a helicopter flight. These partners only receive what they need to deliver your booking.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and booking information for as long as needed to respond to you, plan or deliver your stay, and meet reasonable business, tax, or legal record-keeping needs. You can ask us to delete your data earlier — see "Your rights" below.
Where your data is processed
Mutsviri Game Lodge operates in Zimbabwe, and enquiry data is primarily processed there. Where data is processed or stored outside Zimbabwe (for example, by our website or email service providers), we take reasonable steps to keep it secure.
Your rights
As a Zimbabwe-based business, we process personal data in line with Zimbabwe's Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07], overseen by POTRAZ. If you are visiting from the UK, EU, or elsewhere with your own data protection law, we also respect the standard rights those laws typically provide.
In practice, this means you can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data, where we are not required to keep it for a legitimate business or legal reason
- Stop using your data for a particular purpose
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, when we introduce new tools like Google Tag. We will update the "last updated" date above when we do.
